If there was ever such a word as movaholic, then it would be perfect for me. Have been captivated by movies ever since childhood. Vividly remember my mom having a hard time to get me to study while I would plead to watch Sholay for the nth time. In my engineering days I freelanced as a reviewer for many magazines and also had my own movie portal.
This is a list I have started maintaining from 2011, that perhaps one day I would look at and reverberate my Mom’s thoughts…”Padh liya hota to zindagi ban jaati”

What A Girl Wants starring Amanda Bynes, Colin Firth and Kelly Preston
Genre : Comedy My Rating: 3/5 My Review : A movie about a girl in search of her father who is about to contest an election. The story is not original and the movie is filled with cliches and it is highly predictable too. But its Amanda Bynes who with her cute looks and charming acting makes this one just more than another teen movie. Give it a shot! |

The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel York and Patcharawan Patarakijjanon.
Genre : Adventure My Rating: 3/5 My Review : Leonardo DiCaprio, gets hold of a secret map which gives directions to a secluded beach and the adventurer in him makes him set on a journey to reach the beach. The movie does not have much to offer in terms of a story and the end is also pretty lame. But do watch it for the haunting background score and the awesome cinematography, that makes the Beach and its natural surroundings as an important character int he film. |

The Man in the Iron Mask starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich
Genre : History, Action My Rating: 3.5/5 My Review : Set in Paris, the movie is about the Three Musketeers revolting against the cruelties of King Louis and unveiling a secret that he has hidden for a long time in the prisons of France. A catching story line, great acting by everyone involved and some sexy sword fights, make this one a great flick to catch up on. |

Love Happens starring Jennifer Aniston, Aaron Eckhart and Dan Fogler
Genre : Romance My Rating: 2.5/5 My Review : Aaron Eckhart who ends up writing a book to get over his wife’s death turns overnight into a self help guru, helping other people cope with the death of their loved ones. But the fact is Aaron has not really got over the death of his wife. The movie’s title is a bit misleading and it actually is not really those mushy romantic flick but a more of a coming to terms with life, kinda movies. The movie does get a bit boring halfway down. Watch it if you are an Aaron Eckhart fan. |

Ninja Assassin starring Rain, Rick Yune and Naomie Harris.
Genre : Action My Rating: 2/5 My Review : A ninja turns his back on his clan and there begins a tale of blood bath. The movie has seriously cool action stunts but not enough thrills. The action scenes are fantastic but there is just too much of them, that makes it a bit more monotonous. |

Enemy of the State starring Will Smith, Gene Hackman and Jon Voight
Genre : Thriller My Rating: 3/5 My Review : A lawyer becomes a target of a corrupt politician when he accidentally receives key evidence to a serious politically motivated crime. The movie will have you sit at the edge of your seat, however lack of suspense is a major drawback for the film. |
